STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS

Bake the Brownies

  1. Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line an 8×8 pan with parchment.
  2. Whisk melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread batter evenly in the pan (it will be thick).
  6. Bake 25 – 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely – this is essential for clean cuts.

Make the Whipped Cream

  1. Beat heavy cream, vanilla, and maple syrup/powdered sugar until thick, fluffy peaks form.
  2. Chill until ready to use.

Assemble the Santa Brownie Bites

  1. Cut cooled brownies into small circles using a cutter or measuring cup.
  2. Pipe a small swirl of whipped cream onto each brownie
  3. Gently press a strawberry (cut-side down) onto the cream.
  4. Add a tiny dollop of cream on top of the strawberry “hat”.

TIPS FOR SUCCESS

  • Cool completely : warm brownies will crumble when cut.
  • Use firm strawberries for the neatest look.
  • Pipe or spoon? Either works – piping just gives a cleaner finish.
  • Chill whipped cream for 20 – 30 minutes before assembling for best texture.

STORAGE TIPS

  • Store assembled bites in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
  • If preparing ahead, cut brownies up to 2 days in advance and assemble up to 24 hours.
  • Whipped cream can be made 1 day ahead.

HOSTING TIPS

Serve these Santa Brownie Bites on a holiday dessert board with cookies, dipped pretzels, and fresh fruit – they add height, color, and a festive touch to any Christmas table.
