Deviled eggs are always a crowd-pleaser, but this recipe takes things up a notch with a spicy buffalo kick and creamy blue cheese. These Buffalo Blue Cheese Deviled Eggs are tangy, savory, and perfectly bite-sized for parties, game day spreads, or holiday gatherings. If you love buffalo wings and classic deviled eggs, this mashup is going to be your new go-to appetizer.
This recipe is quick, easy, and made with just a handful of ingredients. The buffalo sauce adds heat, while blue cheese gives a creamy, tangy balance.
They’re elegant enough for entertaining but simple enough to whip up anytime. And since they’re naturally gluten-free, they work for a variety of guests and occasions.
Prepare the Eggs : Slice hard-boiled eggs in half and gently remove yolks. Place yolks in a small mixing bowl.
Make the Filling : Mash yolks with mayo, mustard, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and crumbled blue cheese until smooth. Taste and adjust if needed. If desired, you can use a hand mixer on low speed to combine.
Fill the Eggs : Pipe or spoon mixture back into the egg whites. Garnish with extra crumbled blue cheese and fresh chives. Serve chilled.
STORAGE TIPS
Refrigerator : Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Best enjoyed the same day for freshness.
Make Ahead : You can prepare the yolk filling up to 24 hours in advance. Store separately, then fill egg whites before serving.
Freezer : Not recommended.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I use store-bought buffalo sauce?
Yes, but I recommend homemade buffalo sauce for the cleanest flavor and ingredients.
Can I make these less spicy?
Simply reduce the buffalo sauce to 1/2 teaspoon or balance with extra mayo.
What can I substitute for blue cheese?
If you’re not a fan of blue cheese, try feta or goat cheese for a tangy but milder flavor. I have not done this so I cannot speak to the flavor profile but these would be the two cheeses that provide that tang without the traditional robust flavor of blue cheese.
How do I keep deviled eggs from tipping over on a platter?
Slice a tiny sliver off the bottom of each egg white half so they sit flat, or arrange on a bed of salad greens.
These Buffalo Blue Cheese Deviled Eggs are a bold twist on a classic recipe. They’re easy to make, packed with flavor, and guaranteed to disappear quickly at any gathering. If you’ve made these, please tag me on Instagram or leave a comment below. I’d love to hear how they turn out!
