INGREDIENTS
Brownies
Melted butter or butter infused olive oil
Coconut sugar or brown sugar
Vanilla extact
Eggs
Cocoa powder
All-purpose flour (or gluten-free 1:1 if preferred)
Small round cutter (1/4 cup measuring cup or biscuit cutter)
Piping bag or zip-top bag
STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Bake the Brownies
Preheat the oven to 350℉ and line an 8×8 pan with parchment.
Whisk melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Fold in chocolate chips.
Spread batter evenly in the pan (it will be thick).
Bake 25 – 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool completely – this is essential for clean cuts.
Make the Whipped Cream
Beat heavy cream, vanilla, and maple syrup/powdered sugar until thick, fluffy peaks form.
Chill until ready to use.
Assemble the Santa Brownie Bites
Cut cooled brownies into small circles using a cutter or measuring cup.
Pipe a small swirl of whipped cream onto each brownie
Gently press a strawberry (cut-side down) onto the cream.
Add a tiny dollop of cream on top of the strawberry “hat”.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
Cool completely : warm brownies will crumble when cut.
Use firm strawberries for the neatest look.
Pipe or spoon? Either works – piping just gives a cleaner finish.
Chill whipped cream for 20 – 30 minutes before assembling for best texture.
STORAGE TIPS
Store assembled bites in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
If preparing ahead, cut brownies up to 2 days in advance and assemble up to 24 hours.
Whipped cream can be made 1 day ahead.
HOSTING TIPS
Serve these Santa Brownie Bites on a holiday dessert board with cookies, dipped pretzels, and fresh fruit – they add height, color, and a festive touch to any Christmas table.
