Description

A smooth, café-style brown sugar latte made without syrups. Espresso is pulled directly over brown sugar and vanilla, then finished with frothed milk for a cozy, naturally sweet drink at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 double shot of espresso
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Add brown sugar and vanilla to a heat-safe latte cup.
  2. Brew a double shot of espresso directly over the sugar mixture.
  3. Stir gently until fully dissolved.
  4. Heat and froth the milk.
  5. Pour milk over espresso and finish with foam.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
  • For iced versions, let espresso cool slightly before pouring over ice.
  • Cinnamon or nutmeg make a lovely optional garnish.
