Description
A smooth, café-style protein latte made with gently frothed milk and espresso for a nourishing morning ritual without chalky foam.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 double shot espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
- 3/4 cup milk of choice
- 1/2 scoop protein powder*
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey (optional)
*I recommend using one of the following protein flavors : vanilla, unflavored, salted caramel, cinnamon roll, or iced coffee. There are a lot of brands out there, but these are the flavors that I have personally tried.
Instructions
- Warm the milk gently until hot but not boiling (pay close attention if you’re using a milk frother attached to an espresso machine). This temperature matters, as it prevents protein from clumping.
- Add the warm milk to a mixing cup along with protein powder and sweetened (if using).
- Froth until smooth and creamy.
- Brew espresso or pour coffee into a mug, then top with the creamy protein milk on top.
- Finish with cinnamon or cocoa powder if desired.
