Description

Sweet and spicy roasted Marcona almonds tossed with chili olive oil, honey, and citrus seasoning. A simple yet elegant snack perfect for cocktail hour or entertaining.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Marcona Almonds
  • 1 tablespoon Cayenne Chili Pepper Olive Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Lime Seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Honey


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven. Preheat the oven to 325℉ and line a small sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Season the Almonds. In a mixing bowl, combine Marcona almonds, cayenne chili pepper olive oil, chili-lime seasoning, salt, and honey. Toss until almonds are evenly coated.
  3. Roast the Almonds. Spread the almonds in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet. Roast for 12 minutes, or until the almonds are fragrant and lightly toasted.
  4. Cool Slightly Before Serving. Allow the almonds to cool for about 5 minutes before serving so the seasoning sets and the honey lightly glazes the nuts.

  • Do not overcrowd the pan or the almonds may steam instead of roast.
  • Allow the nuts to cool slightly before serving so the glaze sets.
  • For extra citrus brightness, add a small pinch of lime zest after roasting.
