  • 8 slices baguette or sourdough, thinly sliced (gluten free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (see below for a few to choose from!)
  • 1/2 cup vinegar slaw (ingredients below)
  • 8 dill pickle slices

QUICK VINEGAR SLAW

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage (green or a mix)
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • salt and pepper, to taste

HOMEMADE BARBECUE SAUCES

Instructions

  1. Toast the Bread : Place baguette slices in a pre-heated 400°F oven until golden and crisp.
  2. Warm the Pork : Toss pulled pork with your choice of barbecue sauce, spread evening on a baking sheet, and put in the same oven as your bread until warmed through.
  3. Make the Slaw : In a bowl, whisk together vinegar, mustard, honey, salt, and pepper. Toss with shredded cabbage and let marinate at least 10 minutes.
  4. Assemble : Top each crostini with pulled pork, a spoonful of slaw, and a dill pickle bite. Serve warm or at room temperature.
